If you’ve read about Our Family, you know about our marriage and the fact I’m a military wife. However being a military wife is only a small part of my life.
I’m also a full time personal trainer, mom-to-be, and future graduate student.
After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Nutrition Science, I became a certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I’m also a YogaFit instructor.
I taught yoga throughout college then went on to operate a private personal training business, and work as a coach to athletes of all different ages and sports. I also diligently trained myself through marathon training and three bodybuilding competitions. Even becoming nationally qualified on my last one! All my experiences led me to my career as a personal trainer. But it’s safe to say it’s more than just a career, it’s a passion!
Being a personal trainer allows me to share my passion with others, which is one reason I started this blog.
Momma Be Fit is all about living the healthiest life possible throughout pregnancy and into motherhood. You’ll find life, pregnancy, motherhood tips I’ve picked up along the way. Along with posts about travel, yummy recipes, (most likely botched) DIY projects, and plenty more.
I hardly know it all as a first time expectant mother, but I want to share my journey with you. I’ll be taking every new challenge with stride, learning as I go, and documenting every bit of it. There will be good days, bad days, and a lot of humorous ones in between. Because, let’s face it, life is weird enough without throwing pregnancy into the mix!
Join me in my journey to be a fit momma and raise a healthy, happy baby!
